Meet Caroline: A Passion for Music and Teaching
Caroline Fernandes is a dedicated freelance performer and teacher specializing in saxophone, flute, and clarinet. With a diverse repertoire encompassing Classical, Jazz, Pop, and Funk, Caroline presents her own self-contained show featuring smooth jazz saxophone and flute, accompanied by backing tracks.
She performs at weddings, including both Western weddings and Indian weddings, hotels, and corporate events, establishing herself as an accomplished instrumental soloist and music educator.
For nearly 10 years, Caroline showcased her talents as a professional multi-instrumentalist on board 5-star cruise ships, entertaining audiences worldwide. In addition to her performance career, she has taught flute, clarinet, oboe, and saxophone to students aged 5 to adult, successfully running several woodwind ensembles.
Caroline completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Performance at Trinity College of Music, London, in 1993, studying under renowned instructors Keith Puddy and Hale Hambleton. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Music Performance from Colchester Institute in 1991, with instrumental tuition from Angela Fussell. Furthermore, she holds Teachers’ Diplomas in both Clarinet and Saxophone from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
